Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Zambia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and hands-on experience in operational management. This role involves engaging with banking partners, managing field operations, and ensuring seamless coordination of their financial services. The Operations Manager will play a critical role in driving the company’s strategic initiatives and fostering relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in banking and operational management.
  • Strong understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment in Zambia.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational management software.
  • Ability to travel within Zambia as required.

Banking and Financial Management:

  • Facilitate discussions and negotiations with banking partners.
  • Manage banking relationships to ensure optimal service delivery and compliance.
  • Oversee the implementation of banking solutions and financial products.

Partner Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with partners to enhance service offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Represent our client in meetings, conferences, and other industry events.

Field Operations Management:

  • Supervise and support field teams to ensure effective implementation of programs.
  • Monitor and evaluate field activities to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Address operational challenges and provide solutions to improve field performance.

Operational Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and industry best practices.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Provide training and support to enhance team capabilities.
