Vice Principal / Curriculum Coordinator
Job Title: Vice Principal / Curriculum Coordinator
Reporting to: Principal
This position requires a visionary leader who will contribute to ISL’s overall strategic planning, academic excellence, and curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Administration
Assist the Principal: – Collaborate with the Principal in the overall leadership and administration of the school, contributing to the development and execution of the school’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
Supervision and Evaluation: – Oversee and support the professional development, supervision, and evaluation of teaching staff.
Student Wellfare: – Collaborate with the Principal to maintain a positive and disciplined school environment, address student behaviour, and implement appropriate interventions.
Pedagogical Leadership and Administration of the relevant curricula area (eg: PYP, IMYC, IGCSE, IBDP)
Curriculum Development and Implementation
Curriculum Planning: – Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
Professional Development: – Provide guidance and support to teachers in curriculum design, instructional methods, and the integration of innovative educational practices.
Assessment and Evaluation: – Oversee the development and implementation of assessment strategies, ensuring regular evaluation of student progress and curriculum effectiveness.
Educational Innovation and Technology
Technology Integration: – Foster the integration of technology into the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Innovative Programs: – Explore and implement innovative educational programs that cater to diverse learning needs and prepare students for the future.
Community Engagement
Parental Communication: – Communicate regularly with parents, fostering positive relationships and providing updates on curriculum, student progress, and school initiatives.
Community Partnerships: – Build and maintain positive relationships with the community, local organisations, and other educational institutions to enhance the school’s resources and opportunities.
Professional Development
Leadership Development: – Encourage and support the professional growth of staff, providing leadership development opportunities and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Workshops and Training: – Organise and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and professional development activities for faculty and staff.
Qualifications
Preferred to hold a Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
Relevant teaching experience with a proven track record of leadership and curriculum development.
Administrative certification or licence, if required by local regulations.
Strong understanding of educational trends, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
