JOB DETAILS:

Job Purpose

The Technical Support and Losgistics Officer ensure that products, inventory and parts move from one place to another efficiently and cost-effectively. The will work with the team to ensure all parts are correctly assembled and in good working order.

Main Tasks

  1. Inspection and assessment of the electrical system equipment and coordinate maintenance planning processes.
  2. Install and supply On/Off Grid Solar Systems to various organizations and ascertain compliance to required safety standards and approved regulations.

iii. Develop and implement quality assurance strategy as well as assist with product testing and development.

  1. Coordinate all Inventory management and stock audits for both the main Warehouse and Distributors that is daily and weekly stock reconciliation.
  2. Carry out technical audits regarding performance and quality of service.
  3. Promote and provide customer support on various solar products and resolve customer complaints.

vii. Carry out load analysis and ensure systems are within acceptable power limits.

viii. Carry out logistics and transportation operations for deliveries of solar products to clients as well as verifying import and export product documentation.

  1. Give recommendations on viable cost-effective maintenance initiatives and prepare budget.
  2. Manage and supervise all Agents across the provincial towns and districts throughout the Region for improved operations and service delivery.
  3. Identify areas where performance can be improved and managed in order to make improvements for the business.

xii. Liaising with the accounts department by Issuing purchase orders, invoices, goods received notes and receipts for any transactions.

xiii. Compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reports to maintain records in area of responsibility.

Required Skills

  1. Warehouse Management experience including vehicle loading and inventory forecasting.
  2. Knowledge of computer software and warehouse management systems

iii. Forklift certification added advantage.

  2. Client management experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of an organization

vii. Ability to assemble solar hardware.

viii. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word

  1. This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.

Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s degree – Electrical engineering
  2. 2 plus years of experience in similar setting

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
