Tailor

Job Summary:
Emerald Sky is seeking a skilled and creative Tailor to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fitting, and altering garments to meet customer specifications. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Garment Construction: Cut, sew, and finish garments according to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to design standards.
• Fitting and Alterations: Conduct fittings with clients to assess garment fit and make necessary adjustments. Provide recommendations for design modifications based on fit and style preferences.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with designers and production staff to understand design concepts and production timelines. Contribute creative ideas for garment designs and improvements.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished garments for quality and adherence to specifications. Identify and address any issues or defects prior to delivery.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering on their expectations.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an organized workspace and manage fabric and material inventory. Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in tailoring and garment construction. Participate in training and workshops to enhance skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in tailoring or fashion design is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in garment construction and alteration.
• Proficiency in sewing machines and tailoring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
