Speech Therapist

Job Summary:
Mulungushi Innovations is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in improving clients’ communication abilities and enhancing their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients’ speech and language abilities. Identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
• Therapeutic Intervention: Provide evidence-based speech therapy interventions to clients of all ages. Utilize a variety of techniques and approaches to address communication disorders effectively.
• Progress Monitoring: Monitor clients’ progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed. Document progress and outcomes in client records to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, educators, and families to coordinate services and support for clients. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
• Client Education: Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for home practice. Provide resources and support to empower clients in their communication goals.
• Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in speech therapy practices and research. Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Valid licensure and certification to practice as a Speech Therapist.
• 2+ years of experience in providing speech therapy services.
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
