Role Description

This is an internship role for a Social Media Marketing Intern. The Social Media Marketing Intern will create social media content, execute social media campaigns, support digital marketing initiatives, and assist with marketing communication. This is a hybrid/mostly remote role located in Lusaka. This internship could lead to a permanent position.

Qualifications

Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation abilities
Digital Marketing and Marketing expertise
Excellent Communication skills
Creative and innovative mindset
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design software is a plus
Experience with Meta, or similar social media management software is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred
4th-year university students (undergraduate or graduate) are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
Assist in creating weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
Support marketing team at live and online events
Perform social media marketing research.
Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms.
Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
Create compelling graphics to share across social channels.
Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
Assist with photo/video content shoots
Ensure brand message is consistent
