Position Overview:
• We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in ledger entries, and experience with reconciliations. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee financial accounting tasks, including but not limited to bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
• Perform detailed month-end procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.

  • Lead client engagements, providing expert accounting and financial advice tailored to their specific needs.
    • Conduct thorough reviews of client financial statements and records, identifying areas for improvement and compliance.
  • Prepare and file taxes for both internal operations and external clients, staying abreast of changing tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive financial strategies aligned with client goals and objectives.

    Qualifications and skills:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related professional qualification.
    • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong background in ledger management, bank reconciliations, and month-end procedures.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations, with demonstrated experience in return filing for ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA and Workers Compensation.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
