JOB DETAILS:

We are launching a new tech education program in Africa to source and train digital talent and deploy them in the as tech experts.

Overview: The trainer assistant is based in Zambia and is responsible for supporting the lead trainer in developing technology talent to service the Africa region.

You will be helping to develop a quality team of software developers by passing on your experience and structuring their education to produce top technology talent.

Core Responsibilities

– Delivering a structured software development curriculum

– Identifying skill gaps and assisting to implement knowledge upgrade strategies

– Co-leading a team of developers working on client projects

– Mentoring junior developers

– Using Agile methodologies for task estimation, automated testing and automated deployment

– Interacting with existing and new students

– Teaching students in the technology excellence system

– Providing guidance on course materials and new courses

General Responsibilities

– Being involved in the broader coding community and industry events

– Student counselling and general support services

– Liaising with the business community and developing suitable technology project solutions

– Attending promotional events and networking functions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

– Javascript knowledge is a must.

– Diploma, Degree or comparative information technology experience

– 3 years experience in software development preferably enterprise

– Passion for coding and future tech

– Understanding of Agile development experience

– A role model for writing quality code

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
