Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Petroleum Engineer to manage and optimize oil and gas extraction processes in Lusaka. The Petroleum Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient extraction techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop methods for extracting oil and gas from deposits.
• Conduct research and analysis to optimize extraction processes.
• Monitor and evaluate well performance and production rates.
• Collaborate with geologists, drilling teams, and other professionals.
• Prepare and present technical reports and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for extraction operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Petroleum Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of petroleum engineering principles and practices.
• Proficiency in relevant software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field; professional certification preferred.

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Teamwork and project management skills.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years of experience in petroleum engineering.
