Job description:
Purpose
To provided support to ensure the smooth, efficient and continuous running of the Soil Sampling Lab in line with prescribed standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining good housekeeping of the site services laboratory and the surrounding area.
- Conduct screening on daily soil samples from all sites as prescribed by the supervisor
- Collection of laboratory requirements from the warehouse.
- Maintain a healthy relationship with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure that compliance with regulatory requirements is met at all times.
- Carry out sample preparations as per the prescribed Laboratory standards
- General Lab Duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Grade Twelve (Grade 12) Certificate
- Laboratory Science Certificate (from recognized institution)
Experience
- Worked in a Soils Laboratory
- Worked in a Mining Environment (Added Advantage)
