JOB DETAILS:
Purpose
The Nursing Coordinator for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programme will assist in the planning, preparation and coordination of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Programme, for the training of Nursing Students.

Responsibilities
• Support planning and coordination of the Programme.
• Ensure the implementation of policies and practices.
• Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions for the Programme.
• Help in building positive relations between lecturers and students.
• Ensure teaching and learning of students is happening for all the intakes in the Programme.
• Prepare class time tables and ensure order in the Programme.
• Ensure the preparation of timely lesson plans and participate actively and effectively in the lecturing and assessment of students in order to transfer knowledge.

  • Keep updated records and create reports for all the intakes.
    • Maintain overall supervision of courses in the Programme.
    • Responsible for all documentation regarding student admissions in the Programme and play a leading role in the student admission process.
    • Promote career planning services through in-class presentations and student outreach activities.
    • Participate in any other assignments as directed by Management.

    Qualifications
    To be considered for this position, one must have the following qualifications;
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
    • Master of Science in Clinical Nursing.
    • Clinical Experience of not less than two (2) years.
    • Teaching Experience in a BSc Nursing Programme of not less than one (1) year.
    • A PhD in Nursing is an added advantage.

    Professional Certification
    • Certificate of Registration and a valid Practicing License from the Health Professions Council of Zambia.
    • Certificate of good standing from the HPCZ will be required.

    Key Qualities and Skills:
    • Self-motivated and resourceful with strong intellectual ability.
    • Ability to research and create new knowledge.
    • Should be a goal getter and a team player.
    Work Hours: 8

    Experience in Months: 24

    Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
