Job summary

Reports Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, the incumbent monitors, evaluates, analyses, and reports performance and results, provides regular project reports to CIDRZ and CDC. S/he will conduct regular project data analysis and identifies methods to use results for program improvement. S/he assists with activity efforts to strengthen monitoring and evaluation and performance reporting within the geographic area of activity implementation.

Main duties

Assists in the development of Monitoring and Evaluation plan.

Builds capacity of project staff MOH and clinical staff in understanding performance indicators and reporting tools

Supports the development and implementation of the Data Use and demand strategy.

Supports development of dashboards in collaboration with Assistant Strategic Information officer.

Supports the establishment of best practices in data collection through to storage and security of the collected data.

Provides performance narratives highlighting poor performance, success stories and activities.

Monitors implementation of QI projects are correctly implemented and monitored.

Supports dissemination of in various forums

Develops slideshows and visual required for weekly situation room meetings, Data Review meetings and any other presentations as may be required.

Monitors the progress of the project regularly and take corrective measures as & when required.

Generates quality project performance reports in line with donor requirements and guidelines and submit the same to the line manager in a timely manner.

Stays informed of HIV-related MoH and PEPFAR reporting requirements.

Ensures submission of Monthly Reports to CDC within reporting deadline.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Demography, Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, or any relevant field with a minimum of 3 years working experience.

Familiar with at least one advanced statistical package – R, STATA, SAS, etc

Experience working with DATIM DHIS II, SmartCare and Laboratory Information Systems including DISA.

Demonstrated experience in management of large datasets and databases and supporting various reporting requirements.

Proven ability to problem-solve and learn new data technologies, systems, and processes.

Experience with USG/CDC programs is and added advantage.

Skilled in District Health Information System (DHIS) and SmartCare

Excellent skills in excel and power point presentation.

Ability to work independently, exercise discretion and independent judgement in the execution of duties.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
