JOB DETAILS:

The Key Purpose of this role is to optimize inventory levels across the supply chain. To collaborate with various departments, analyse inventory data, and develop deployment strategies to meet customer demand efficiently.

Key roles and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels across the supply chain to meet customer demand while minimizing costs and ensuring timely delivery. As an Inventory Deployment Planner, you will collaborate with various departments to develop and execute effective deployment strategies, monitor inventory performance, and proactively address any challenges that may arise.

INVENTORY ANALYSIS

  • Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels, turnover, and product demand patterns.
  • Collaborate with planning and procurement teams to gather relevant data for accurate forecasting.

DEPLOYMENT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT

  • Develop and implement inventory deployment strategies to ensure optimal stock levels and distribution across the supply chain.
  • Consider factors such as seasonality, lead times, and production schedules when creating deployment plans.

COLLABORATION

  • Work closely with planning, procurement, and production teams to align inventory levels with anticipated demand.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.

RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Identify potential risks to inventory levels and implement contingency plans to mitigate any disruptions.
  • Monitor external factors such as market trends, supplier performance, and regulatory changes that may impact inventory deployment.

PERFORMANCE MONITORING

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of inventory deployment strategies.
  • Regularly monitor and report on inventory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

COMMUNICATION

  • Maintain open communication channels with internal stakeholders to provide updates on inventory status, potential issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and distributors to optimize inventory flow and address any concerns

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in inventory planning, deployment, or a related role preferable.
