JOB DETAILS:

Position – Hub Coordinator

  • The overall responsibility of the Hub Coordinator will be to coordinate technical oversight, manage and provide leadership in the implementation of the Hub activities. The Hub is aimed at supporting and empowering the less privileged youths in the society by facilitating and providing direct access to alternative learning of technology skills. In liaison with the country office the Hub Coordinator will actively participate in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting both at Hub facility and Country level.

Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Tutoring Of Students At The Hub

Planning and delivering lessons and activities that facilitate students’ development of design, ICT and entrepreneurship skills.

Develop practical and relevant syllabus for the course.

Instructing students in a manner that develops their confidence and abilities.

Observing and managing classroom dynamics.

Invigilating and grading projects, quizzes, and examinations.

Tracking student progress and giving appropriate feedback.

Tutor students on an individual basis.

Develop incentives to keep participants in class.

Perform other administrative duties as needed.

Read and stay abreast of current topics in computer science and design.

Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs.

Work with program coordinators to evaluate and ensure initiatives are being met.

  1. Developing Graphic Design And Entrepreneurship Skills

Help students develop a customer focus in understanding customers’ requirements and design briefs.

Help students translate design briefs into high-quality design within an established brand identity.

Teach design concepts such as scale, colour, typography, hierarchy, texture and contrast.

Aid students in creating a wide range of designs for brochures, company logos, and websites with appropriate software.

Reviewing students designs and suggesting improvements where necessary.

Teach students to use appropriate design software including Canva and Adobe Photoshop.

Teach students to market their skills through multiple channels including on the Fiverr platform.

Aid students in developing the skills to build and maintain commercial relationships with clients.

Teach basic entrepreneurship skills to aid students in running their own business

  1. STUDENT PASTORAL CARE

undertake pastoral duties, such supporting students on an individual basis through academic or personal difficulties

Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with students.

Lead and facilitate devotions with students to encourage them to explore and develop faith.

Participate in the wider work of 3Eighteen to make programmes impactful to prospective students, current students and those in other programmes.

  1. GENERAL DUTIES OF THE HUB

Manage information technology and computer systems for both The Hub and the wider 3Eighteen organisation including software, hardware and networking.

Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures to ensure security of data and preservation of assets.

  • Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT

Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Work with Education Facilitators in developing appropriate ICT courses for school aged children.

Qualifications And Experience

Full grade 12 Certificate

Must hold a degree or equivalent in the field of Information technology/Computer Science

A Masters degree will be an added advantage.

Must be proficient in IT (Excel, Word, Access/Publisher, Power Point, internet).

A minimum of 3 year working experience in the field IT.

Must have experience in report writing, use of Fiverr platform, using Adobe Photoshop and using the Canva design software

Proficient in computer skills

Good interpersonal skills.
