Job Description:
North Star is looking for a strategic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee all financial aspects of our business in Lusaka. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the finance department, preparing financial reports, and developing strategies to improve the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department.
- Prepare financial statements, business activity reports, and forecasts.
- Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
- Analyze market trends to maximize profits and find expansion opportunities.
- Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff.
- Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial management software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in finance management.
