Duty Station:

JOB DETAILS:

Specific Tasks

  • Vendor engagement and assist in the procurement process
  • Prepare documentation for payment transactions
  • Coding of all approved payment requests
  • Booking of approved payments in the accounting package.
  • Petty cash management
  • Coding all monthly statutory payroll-related payments
  • Reviewing and processing staff travel advance requests and expense reports within stipulated timeframe;
  • Maintain the filing system to ensure all vouchers are in order, and properly completed.
  • Reviewing and scanning all accounting records monthly;
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statements to keep track of the finances.
  • Assisting in the preparation of payrolls.
  • Must have knowledge on best practices on generally accepted accounting principles of USAID/DONOR funding rules and regulations
  • Perform other general accounting, finance and administration duties as needed and other duties as may be assigned;

Minimum Education Qualifications, Experience and Competencies:

  • Must be a holder of an Accountancy profession, or any Finance related field;
  • Bachelor of Accountancy would be an added advantage;
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience and success;
  • Must be a paid member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA);
  • Demonstrated knowledge and work experience of USAID financial and management systems, rules, regulations and reporting requirements;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity;
  • Fluency in English is required.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
