EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

ELECTRICIAN/PLUMBER (1)

The Tobacco Association of Zambia is seeking for a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as an Electrician/Plumber. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our operations department, below are the responsibilities and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform plumbing tasks in various environments.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• cutting, assembling and installing pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g electrical wiring)
• Installing and maintaining water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines.
• Responsible for the execution of all electrical maintenance, installation and repair of all electrical works (3 phase, Single phase motors, kitchen equipment etc)
• Ensure the efficient operation of all electrical equipment.
• Ensure all mains, distribution and lighting systems are in a good condition and should be able to trouble shoot any electrical fault.
• Ensuring that the ZESCO meter have sufficient units.
• Maintain essential stock of electrical fittings.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for oneself and others.

Qualifications

• Must be Zambian aged between 30 and 50 years.
• Must have a Grade 12 certificate.
• Advanced Trade Craft Certificate in Electrical and Plumbing from a TEVETA accredited institution.
• Registered Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ);
• Must have a Minimum of two (2) years of experience in electrical and plumbing management.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
