Purpose of the Position: To lead people, manage HR operations including systems, processes and activities to achieve the organization’s objectives through an integrated approach to Human Resources Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage HR operations, including HR planning, people resourcing, talent management, succession planning, compensation & benefits, policies and procedures, and health and safety practices.
  • Manage employee relations including dispute resolutions, disciplinary and grievance handling, absences, retirement and redundancy.
  • Lead strategic HR practices and be a change agent.
  • Manage and facilitate organizational performance management process.
  • Reporting & HR analytics.
  • Implement learning & staff development policy.
  • Apply HR and business knowledge in facilitating decision making.
  • Proactive in Diversity, Equity and inclusion policies

Key Requirements:

1. Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 3 years post-qualification experience, or Diploma in these areas with 5 years post-qualification experience.

2. Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).

3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal & negotiation skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

5. Demonstrable experience in at least 2-3 HR practice areas.

6. Experience in leading others.
