JOB DETAILS:

Responsibilities:

  1. Market Expansion:

Identify and pursue new business prospects within the fintech sector in Zambia, focusing on Insurance, Microfinance, eGovernment (SmartZambia), and Banking.2. New Business Development:

Act as the primary ‘Hunter’ to acquire new clients (new logos) in addition to existing accounts managed by Account Managers, including some of the top Banks, the Central Bank, and the Clearing House.

  1. Strategic Growth:

Develop and execute strategic plans to stimulate growth and elevate revenue within the specified sectors.

  1. Client Relationship Management:

Collaborate with existing Account Managers to ensure effective farming of existing accounts while focusing on cultivating robust relationships with new clients.

  1. Sales Strategy Collaboration:

Work closely with the sales team to formulate effective sales strategies for successful deal closures within the fintech industry.

  1. Reporting:

Generate regular reports detailing new business development activities and outcomes within the specified sectors.

  1. Industry Engagement:

Attend relevant industry events and conferences to stay informed about market trends and developments.

  1. Marketing Collaboration:

Collaborate with the marketing team to devise impactful strategies and materials tailored to the fintech industry in Zambia.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales within the fintech industry.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of the fintech industry and market landscape in Zambia.
  • Previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within the fintech sector.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages in Zambia is essential.
  • A highly motivated and results-driven individual with a passion for new business development and a keen interest in technology.
