JOB DETAILS:

Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant Needed – Remote Position

(approx. 15-20hrs a week)

  • Position: Part-Time Bookkeeper/Accountant
  • Job Type: Part-Time, Remote

Responsibilities:

  1. Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and remittance transactions.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using accounting software or Excel
  3. Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  4. Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  5. Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
  6. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning and decision-making.
  7. Collaborate with the management team to analyze financial data and provide insights for business improvement.
  8. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  9. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information and adhere to data security protocols.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or similar role, preferably in the financial services industry.
  2. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  3. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
  6. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred but not required).
  8. Familiarity with money transfer or remittance operations (preferred but not required).
