Job Overview:
As an Agroforestry Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and promoting agroforestry practices that enhance land productivity while maintaining environmental health. Your expertise will play a critical role in integrating trees and shrubs into farming systems to improve biodiversity and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of current agroforestry practices and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement agroforestry projects in collaboration with farmers and community stakeholders.
• Provide training and technical support to farmers on best practices in agroforestry management.
• Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, documenting successes and challenges.
• Collaborate with environmental organizations and governmental agencies to promote agroforestry initiatives.
• Research and disseminate information on innovative agroforestry techniques and technologies.
• Prepare reports and presentations on project progress and findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agroforestry, Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in agroforestry systems and sustainable agricultural practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
• Knowledge of local ecosystems and biodiversity conservation practices.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
